Over a period of time and due to the growing demand for commerce professionals, the institution took a progressive step and incepted the Jr. College of Commerce in the year 1991. This College of commerce caters to the needs of the students in their formative years immediately after school and exposes the students to the world of commercial activities. The college has always maintained high standards, and this is gauged by the success of the results of the institution. The college started its commerce section with two divisions in the year 1991 and today, the college has nine divisions with both the Aided and the unaided section.
Since the admission process is now governed by the education board for the students seeking admission to the XI Standard with an online process, the students are now offered a choice of subjects that they wish to pursue, with commerce.
The institution, being progressive and in keeping with the times, has started a IT division as a part of its student offerings. The mandatory subjects of Bookkeeping & Accountancy, Economics, Organization of Commerce & English are taught by qualified professionals. The college also offers students a choice of subjects as optional subjects. The options are Secretarial practice, Mathematics, and Hindi.
For the students, the institution boasts of an excellent infrastructure and also has a very well-equipped Computer lab and Library. The qualified faculty leaves no stone unturned to provide students with a basic grounding in the field of commerce. As a part of the overall development of the student, the institute encourages the students to pursue other co-curricular activities. The students too have excelled at them and have many awards and accolades at various events for Sports and Fine Arts in which they have participated.
The success rate of the students at the Jr. College passing standard XII has been extremely high and is on a constant upward trend.
We have the AIDED section ( 240 seats ) and UNAIDED section (160 seats. ) for new admissions to Std. XI and the medium of instruction is English.
The Junior college timings are currently 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
